Washington Post to move headquarters in 2016

The Washington Post has signed a lease for its new headquarters in Washington, D.C., and is planning to move there in 2016.

The publication, which is owned by Amazon.com Inc. CEO Jeff Bezos, said May 23 that it selected to lease office space in a building located at 1301 K St. and called One Franklin Square after a real estate hunt that began February 2013.

Studley and JM Zell Partners acted as real estate advisers for the transaction.
