Steve Milo, CEO of VTrips, will be both presenting and joining two property manager panels at the VRMA Europe, March 4-6
PARIS, FRANCE, February 1, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — It has been announced that Steve Milo, CEO of VTrips, one of the fastest growing technology-enabled property management lodging platforms offering exclusive vacation rentals to consumers, will be both presenting and joining two property manager panel discussions at the VRMA European Conference, held in Paris on March 4-6.
Mr Milo’s solo presentation is titled “The Real Truth of Working with OTAs – Unfiltered and Updated for 2018”, and during this session, he will be discussing both the real costs and the resurgent opportunity for vacation rental property managers working with online booking platforms.
During the presentation Mr. Milo will be drawing on his own considerable experience as CEO of VTrips, to delve deep into this challenging area for property managers.
He states, “In light of recent changes to Terms of Services at HomeAway, the OTA landscape continues to dramatically change especially for property managers who advertise on third party websites. Meanwhile, Airbnb, Booking.com, HomeAway, Expedia, and many other third-party integrators, software providers, and web marketing firms are pitching property managers to let them distribute their inventory for a fee.”
Of his presentation, Mr Milo also says, “I’m excited to be returning to VRMA Europe again. 2018 will be a challenging year for property managers with continued squeezing from the OTA’s, and it’s time property managers took a good hard look at the implications of these changes for the industry and best practices for diversification.”
Mr Milo will also be joining a Closing Plenary Session – “Best Practices from Both Sides of the Atlantic: A Global Approach to an Evolving Industry”. This panel discussion consists of four leading property managers from Europe and the United States with a combined inventory of 50,000 properties and is hosted by Alex Nigg, co-founder of Properly.
Mr Nigg said, “The vacation rental industry is increasingly becoming global in outlook and operations, and at VRMA we’re bringing together four of the largest property managers with the intention of sharing best practices from both sides of the Atlantic. Topics will include Smart Home technology, relationships with the OTAs and the unbundling of the property management offering.”
During the conference, Mr. Milo will also be hosting a property manager round-table alongside Eric Bordier, owner of VR Booster, and Ben Edwards from Newman-Dailey Resort. Property managers will speak freely among themselves on important topics including software systems, technology platforms, marketing channels, regulations, and much more.
Mike Copps, Executive Director for VRMA said, “With our European Conference and the continued growth of our association and educational offerings internationally, VRMA is broadening its reach while delivering on our core message of the importance of professionalism within the traditional vacation rental industry. What Steve has done with VTrips is a fascinating case study in establishing operational efficiencies and a culture of professionalism, leading to rapid growth. That’s a message that managers everywhere want to hear.”
Founded in 2006 by Mr. Milo with just 15 properties, VTrips headquartered in Florida, currently manages nearly 2000 properties under exclusive contracts in 19 markets across the United States, including Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, New Mexico and Hawaii.
