— Al Cataline

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, January 15, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Major League Vacations, a sports travel agency offering vacation packages for events and fan-centric experiences, announced its 2021 Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training Travel Packages, being dubbed “a new travel experience for a new year” and targeting “true Phillies fans.” With Phillies Spring Training encompassing a series of exhibition games hosted at Spectrum Field in Clearwater Beach, Florida, this event offers a new way for Phillies fans to view the games and their favorite players up close and personally, with the added benefit of receiving autographs from high-profile MLB players.

The 2021 Phillies Spring Training Travel Packages include full travel arrangements (air, airport/game day transportation, hotel, and game tickets); access to nearby Clearwater Beach attractions; travel dates coinciding with the St. Patrick’s Day holiday, enabling fans to enjoy the city’s celebrations during the weekend; both family and adult-oriented deals; and customizable/flexible scheduling.

“Each year, MLV Phillies Spring Training Packages include the best travel accommodations, brimming over with excitement, fun, and lasting memories…and 2021 is shaping up to offer the same,” says Albert Cataline, Principal at Major League Vacations. “We’ve already heard from a few first-time attendees that they’re excited to be going to Spring Training finally, and we can’t say we blame them given the pandemic-centric environment we’ve all been subjected to over the past year.”

The 2021 Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training Travel Packages are available now, starting at $930 per person.

Home to the Clearwater Threshers minor league baseball team, Spectrum Field holds 8,500 spectators and offers an excellent view of every game from nearly every seat. Clearwater Beach, meanwhile, is known for its namesake stretch of soft, white sand, drawing visitors year-found for jet-skiing, parasailing, and stand-up paddleboarding in its calm waters.

The packages as offered by Major League Vacations for the Phillies Spring Training experience are comprised of two selections – the Holiday Inn and Suites Clearwater Beach Three-Night Package and the Residence Inn by Marriott Clearwater Beach Four-Night Pack. Both packages share most of the same benefits, including roundtrip nonstop air (departing PHL), roundtrip private airport transportation, roundtrip private game day transportation, and game tickets to the New York Yankees at the Philadelphia Phillies game on Wednesday, March 17. The Residence Inn Package adds game tickets to the Pittsburgh Pirates at Philadelphia Phillies game on Thursday, March 18.

As an organization, Major League Vacations brings sports enthusiasts to some of the most significant events on the planet, including the Super Bowl, Masters, Daytona 500, Kentucky Derby, Wimbledon, and more, connecting these fans with the sports they love the most, like baseball, basketball, football, golf, hockey, horse racing, soccer, and tennis. The company’s packages are all-inclusive with roundtrip airfare and airport transportation, hotel accommodations, game tickets, and game-day transportation.

Further, MLV’s travel packages can be customized for maximum enjoyment, an option that includes upgrades and add-ons to standard travel pack inclusions.

“Our trips bring sports fans to exciting destinations, offering a multitude of attractions to see and fun to have when the games aren’t on,” adds Cataline. “We boast the expertise these kinds of fans want when it comes to ensuring their sports vacation will become a memorable experience they’ll be talking about for years.”

Major League Vacations has, as of late, become known for its “Sports-Cations” set up as individual or group events, organized for games at local, regional, national or international locations. Trips can be arranged for collegiate, non-collegiate, or professional level sporting events, whether attendees wish to go across their state or the country with one or 100 people. From baseball, hockey, basketball, golf, and football to horse, bicycle, truck, and automotive racing events, nothing is too big or too small for the experts at MLV.

Updates to the Origin – Destination Survey of Airline Passengers – Notice of Proposed Rulemaking

The Department is proposing to update the method of collecting and processing
aviation traffic data in the O&D Survey

Daily Airline Filings – The Airline Regulatory Information Hub”

— AirlineInfo.com

USA, January 15, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Department is proposing to update the method of collecting and processing aviation traffic data in the Origin-Destination Survey of Airline Passenger Traffic (O&D Survey), as well as to expand the number of reporting air carriers, the sample size collected, and the scope of the data reported. These changes would align the current O&D Survey with modern industry business and accounting practices, enable cost savings, reduce burden through automation, and provide enhanced utility for users of the data. In addition, DOT is proposing to change the timing of the release of the Form 41, Schedule T-100(f) “Foreign Air Carrier Traffic Data by Nonstop Segment and On-flight Market” from a 6-month delay to a 3-month delay to match that of Form 41, Schedule T-100 “Air Carrier Traffic and Capacity Data by Non-Stop Segment and On-Flight Market.”

When the current rules for collection of the O&D Survey were established in the 1960's,the O&D Survey provided the best reasonably obtainable measure of passenger aviation activity. The mainframe technologies of the era dictated many aspects of the O&D survey business process and the elements selected for collection. A key driver of the process was that data storage was expensive in that era which resulted in a minimum of data elements being included. This meant more robust descriptive data, such as the time of arrival and departure, were not included in the collection. Because mainframes were centralized computing resources, the O&D Survey process was designed to route paper tickets to a centralized facility for processing and loading into the systems.

In the intervening years, changes in airline business models and accounting practices enabled by technology improvements were not reflected in DOT’s collection methodology, leading to a misalignment between the rules for reporting the information and current accounting practices that generally requires human intervention to reconcile differences and prevents O&D Survey Reporting Carriers from fully automating the system of data collection. The primary design issue that prevents current improvements is the regulatory requirement that the operating carrier that first touches the ticket is the carrier that has responsibility to report the ticket, known as the “first reporting carrier rule.” In the 1960's, this rule was selected because the most efficient process was physically to detach the ticket coupons as they were flown for each flight and send all the coupons to the centralized processing facility to be matched and combined with the relevant revenue information. Because the carrier that issued the ticket, which had all the necessary information on hand, often did not first touch the ticket, the carrier with the least amount of information was by rule responsible for reporting the ticket. Modern and decentralized E-ticket systems eliminate the need for a physical coupon matching process and enables more efficient reporting rules and access to more relevant data.

DOT has worked with representatives of the aviation industry trade association Airlines for America (A4A) to determine the best way to improve the methodology, collection, and utility of the O&D Survey. DOT is proposing this rule to reform and simplify the O&D Survey, principally by reorienting the reporting requirements so that air carriers report primarily information for tickets that they issue.

Travelstride Travel Trends 2021

How Travelers Want To Book; When and Where They Want To Go In 2021 & Beyond

AUSTIN, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, January 15, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — As everyone approaches 2021 with hopeful anticipation and massive pent-up wanderlust, travel industry experts are looking into their crystal balls to predict what the new year will bring.

Travelstride, the #1 US marketplace for all expert-planned travel adventures, shares its 2020 Travel Trend Report revealing the most interesting international travel behavior changes through the end of 2020 and predictions for 2021.

Gavin Delany, Founder and CEO of Travelstride, is particularly well positioned to identify emerging travel trends since the online marketplace works with nearly 1,500 global tour operators, cruise lines and local experts to offer its globetrotting community more than 50,000 trip options. In the past six years, the company has served more than 3 million travelers sending them to 164 countries across all seven continents. After reviewing all this data and studying current booking patterns, Travelstride has identified some key international travel trends for 2021:

Longer, Deeper Stretches
After the hardships and sacrificed vacations of 2020, travelers are ready to book longer and more immersive trips. Since March 2020, Travelstride’s average trip length grew by 40% compared to pre-Covid bookings.

Farther Flung
An increase in trip length can be attributed to the added time needed to visit more far-flung spots as travelers seek less populated, more outdoorsy destinations. “As for destinations, the more remote the better, so think Patagonia over Buenos Aires,” commented Delany. “For instance, we saw a big spike in interest in Antarctica where bookings increased by 25%.”

Right Now or Much Later
As conditions continuously shift, booking windows have increased their variability, with trips either planned within weeks or plotted many months or even years in advance. Short term travelers seize the moment when the right aspects align and taking a last-minute trip makes sense for them. While others are planning their dream trip, such as an African safari, and want to ensure proper preparation and timing, as well as an ample post-Covid cushion. Travelstride saw inquiries for trips less than two months in advance increase as a percentage of total to over 30%, while those for trips six months ahead or longer increased as a percentage of total to 55% .

Flexibility Rules The Day
Given the multitude of uncertainties that life now brings, travelers are requiring very flexible terms to book travel. At Travelstride, 100% of recent booking inquiries are going to operators with flexible cancellation policies.

While many companies have loosened cancellation terms or offer savings to encourage bookings now, Travelstride has taken a leap forward and developed a brand-new product specifically designed to meet travelers’ needs in 2021 and beyond – FlexiPass By Travelstride. With super flexible booking terms, Flexipass By Travelstride provides a financially savvy, low risk option to commit to an epic trip now with the power to change it later. Partnering with more than 20 trusted global tour operators who ensure Covid-safe practices, travelers can choose from 2,000 high quality packaged journeys or even create a custom itinerary to destinations spanning all seven continents.

According to Gavin Delany, “Once we identified these trends, we heard loud and clear what our fellow passionate travelers needed to restart travel planning and feel some hope. This is what inspired us to create FlexiPass By Travelstride. It was specifically designed to meet the needs of modern travelers navigating today’s shifting global uncertainties and help local tourism companies and economies around the world.”
FlexiPass launched December 2020 and is already garnering accolades and early adopter fandom. It achieved #1 popularity on Product Hunt, the tech industry’s leading platform for new product discovery, for launch day and maintains top trending status in the travel section, ahead of much larger brands like Airbnb.

PARK CITY, UT, UNITED STATES, January 15, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — With the holidays behind us and more snowstorms expected in Park City, Utah, YOTELPAD Park City is seeing a robust level of skiers taking advantage of the new hotel’s first season at the base of Park City Mountain.

The largest ski and snowboard resort in the United States, Park City Mountain has added YOTELPAD Park City last month to Canyons Village with easy access to the Gondola and Orange Bubble ski lifts to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, shopping, dining and après ski.

“We’re finding this year that cross country skiing and snowshoeing has taken a leap in popularity with our guests,” said Brandon Tyler, general manager of YOTELPAD Park City. “YOTELPAD Park City is at the base of one of the best ski mountains in the country, and families are relishing all of our outdoor winter activities.”

One national report showed 2019-20 cross country skiing was up to 5.2 percent from year-earlier figures of 4.9 percent, while year-over-year snowshoeing increased to 3.6 percent from 3.4 percent, according to Cross Country Ski Areas Association.

“With 7,300 acres of open mountain terrain as a playground, guests are loving recreating in the clean mountain while naturally distancing from others,” said Tyler, whose team opened the 144-PAD (YOTEL-speak for condos) hotel Dec. 17, 2020.

The first in the world of its kind, YOTELPAD Park City is a fully tech-equipped hotel with self-service check-in stations, Grab+Go meals and drinks, a 24/7 gym with the latest Life Fitness & Peloton equipment, ski valet service, a fireside lounge and more.

“YOTELPAD’s differentiator is our innovative designs for various-sized PADs, which include Italian furniture that transforms into multiple uses in the same room space,” he said. “Guests absolutely love the European-inspired floor plans because they optimize every inch of PADs, which can accommodate up to seven guests and make it the perfect mountain base for adventure seekers.”

Born from creative leaders at London’s YOTEL, the YOTELPAD concept is drastically altering consumers’ images of hotels.

“This first YOTELPAD is changing travelers’ expectation of hotels, which will cause hotels to adapt to travelers’ demands,” said Tyler. “From top to bottom, these PADs offer incredible options for guests. Intelligently designed PADs allow guests to enjoy the benefits of their stay without added expenses.”

Tapping into the local fresh food options, YOTELPAD provides with several local food options.

“To accommodate guests’ preferences, our Grab+Go food express offers fresh, farm-to-table local food,” he said. “Savoury Kitchen provides breakfast burritos, oatmeal, soups, sandwiches and salads. Dinner originates from Rebekah’s Kitchen, with items such as turkey chili and minestrone stew. Gold Creek Farms provides locally harvested cheeses daily.

“From quality coffees, such as Lavazza, to high-end takeaway meals, we offer a wide array of food, drinks and retail items.”

Already at 85 percent sold, YOTELPAD’s owners can submit their PADs into a nightly rental program when not in use.

“Owners can rent their PADs and instantly be listed in YOTEL’s worldwide network for guests seeking new experiences in an environment with modern designs,” said Tyler.

Operating 17 hotels in eight countries, YOTEL recently opened YOTEL London, YOTEL Glasgow and YOTEL Washington, D.C.

“The YOTEL and YOTELPAD concepts are trending, with 13 more YOTELs under development globally and two YOTELPADs being built in Miami and Dubai,” he said.

The tech-forward hotel has built a strong following for its hassle-free solutions, with travelers seeking out hotels in cities and airports from San Francisco to Europe to Singapore.

To provide mountain resort expertise, YOTEL has partnered with Benchmark, a global hospitality leader, to spearhead day-to-day operations of YOTELPAD Park City. Canadian Abstract Painter Janna Watson Provides Inspiring Series Based on ‘Joyful’ Niece

Canadian Abstract Painter Janna Watson

TORONTO, CANADA, January 14, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — · ‘’Art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness’’- Anni Alber
· Janna Watson is in a different headspace, “[trying] to bring through this ‘Fly horsie’ Joy vibe.”

In today’s world, artists have often been asked to encapsulate their most pivotal source of inspiration, creativity, and unrivalled resolve. One of the most common answers that has been consistently given is the benefit of various forms of art- and creation of such art, that are associated with a healthy control of one’s anxiety, depression, anger, and of course, loneliness.

Prolific and eminent abstract painter Janna Watson- who recently held an Art Show in Vancouver between the 9th and 23rd of January, has released a new series that has been categorized by enthusiasts around the world as an ‘act of therapy’.

Based on the artist’s young niece, the inspirational piece serves as an unrivalled demonstration of a more ‘simple’, yet ‘innocent time’; and consequently demonstrates a bold and clear ‘break away’ from the cruel reality of the unprecedented world pandemic.

‘Finding Joy’: A dive into the Janna Watson’s Work

Popular Canadian abstract painter Janna Watson has dedicated her latest project to Joy- her three-year-old niece, who has evidently been a significant source of inspiration for her by ensuring she is always: living in the moment, encapsulating her own unique creativity, and tightly securing her sense of wildness.

As mentioned above, the offering has been said to serve as a visual and pragmatic ‘escape’ from the cruel, solitary, and somewhat ‘bogged down’ reality of the unprecedented state of our current world.

From ‘’Hanging on Very Tight’ whilst rocking on a toy horse, to realizing that ‘Everything is Spicy’ after consuming a raw garden beet, to inadvertently following a balloon that’s ‘’Going Where I’m Going’’, Joy’s innocent, yet adventurous spirit is consistently portrayed in the series- a testament to the artist’s fundamental source of inspiration.

Watson has made an intentional, spontaneous departure from her previous eminent abstractions- which tackle the ‘mush’ of complications that are associated with our subconscious, and actively presented a more ‘joyful’, delightful moment that is undoubtedly imbued in a state of unparalleled simplicity.

Unsurprisingly, Watson’s signature element of unquestionable ‘boldness’ and emotionally-charged constitution has not changed, but the consequent addition of Joy has contributed towards a flavorful expressionist moment that positively encapsulates a state full of wonder.

This series sees an outstanding portrayal of a ‘pictorial and physical’ space collapse which begins with Joy. The artist’s niece is shown riding a horse, feeling both free and adventurous and- perhaps most importantly, being proud of herself, all in a dress that Watson gifted her.

The scene has been a prolific source of inspiration for the series and has inspired an abundant amount of colourful shapes and block colouring- an emerging aesthetic in Watson’s work which has been significantly drawn out so as to proliferate the purity of the pigments in her series.
“In a time where it’s hard to know what’s right and everything is so complex, I was drawn to the simplicity around Joy,” said Watson. “It happens when we are in our organic state, when we can be spontaneous and in our hearts. Sometimes life happens and we forget what it feels like to be free, simple and spontaneous."

Achievements and historic background

Watson holds an honours degree in Drawing and Painting from the Ontario College of Art and Design, and since graduating has held exhibitions extensively across Canada, and internationally in over 20 solo exhibitions.

Her work has appeared in notable public collections including those of: TD Bank, CIBC, Nordstrom, Telus, the Ritz-Carlton, ONi ONE, Microsoft, the Soho Metropolitan Hotel, and Saks Fifth Avenue. In 2013, she was commissioned to create an impressive 11 x 31-foot painting for the lobby of AURA, Canada’s tallest residential building.

Watson’s paintings circulate regularly at international fairs, including the Toronto International Art Fair, CONTEXT Art Miami, and in Seattle, where they were recently featured by Artsy in its list of “10 Works to Collect at the Seattle Art Fair.” Watson’s work has been covered by publications such as The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, NOW Magazine, and House & Home.

David Beston Chef Explains Why the Northeast Food Scene is Destined to Thrive Again

David Beston Explains Why the Northeast Food Scene is Destined to Thrive Again

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, January 14, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Restaurants have struggled amid the COVID-19 pandemic as foot traffic has fallen. While many people continue to order takeout, delivery apps are often expensive for restaurants and customers alike. Now, many restaurants have closed down, and many will never return. David Beston, a New York-based Chef, believes that the northeast food scene will never be the same, but also that it will thrive again.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has changed everything,” David Beston says. “Many restaurants have closed down and won’t be opening up again. Some local favorites may now be nothing more than memories. That said, I believe that the northeast food scene will rebound.”

In December, it was reported that at least 110,000 restaurants had closed during the pandemic. Experts believe many of these closures will be permanent. Before the pandemic, analysts found that roughly 7 out of 10 restaurants will close within the first three to five years of business, so going out of business is common for the food and beverage industry.

“Running a restaurant is hard,” David Beston argues. “Even during the best of times, a lot of restaurants close down. Now, amid some of the worst times in recent memory, even more businesses will close.”

Still, it’s not all bad news according to David Beston. He argues that many of the restaurants closed during the pandemic were likely to struggle even during normal times.

“A lot of restaurants end up closing down pandemic or not,” David Beston Chef points out. “The pandemic probably sped up closures, but many popular, well-managed restaurants will survive.”

David Beston Looks For Silver Linings For Restaurant Industry
Now, with businesses closing, it’ll open up room for new restaurateurs to try their hand. Lower rent prices may also help make it easier for people to try opening their own restaurant.

“It’s unfortunate that so many businesses are struggling. That said, there will be more restaurant lease space available, and in the next few years, entrepreneurs may be able to secure cheaper rates,” David Beston says.

Cheaper rates and more opportunities in the market may allow people to test more creative ideas. This, David Beston believes, will help spur a rebound in the northeastern restaurant business.

“The restaurant business is driven by innovation with new chefs and entrepreneurs trying out new tastes, experiences, and recipes,” David Beston says. “With so many restaurants closing down, it’ll create room in the market. Five years from now, we may be enjoying really good, innovative restaurants that found an opportunity due to all the market space that opened up.”

So who might find success in the restaurant industry? David Beston says good food is no longer enough.

“Great food is a prerequisite, but not enough to ensure success,” David Beston claims. “Being unique and offering different flavors helps. So too does a unique experience. If people are going to dine out, they want not just great food but an awesome atmosphere and environment.”

USA, January 14, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Associate Administrator examined the record in detail, including the Determination, the administrative record supporting the Determination, and the Appeal pleadings and confirms the following:

The Director did not err in finding that PANYNJ expended airport revenues on non-owned facilities or projects, in violation of Grant Assurance 25, Airport Revenues, and FAA's Policy and Procedures Concerning Use ofAirport Revenue and contrary to its 49 USC § 47107 and 47133 grandfathering authority

The Director did not err in finding that PANYNJ is not using an acceptable methodology to calculate the amount of grandfathered airport revenues and has not complied with the grandfathering exception provided by 49 USC § 47107(b)(2) and § 47133, Grant Assurance 25, Airport Revenues, and FAA's Revenue Use Policy

The Director did not err in finding that PANYNJ lacked transparency in setting its rates and charges in violation of Grant Assurance 22, Economic Nondiscrimination and contrary to the FAA's Policy Regarding Airport Rates and Charges, and engaged in deficient accounting practices and record-keeping in violation of Grant Assurance 22,Economic Nondiscrimination.

This matter is remanded to the Director to determine if PANYNJ has grandfather rights based on a pre-September 2, 1982 law controlling financing as provided for in 49 USC § § 47107 & 47133 and grant assurance 25. This decision affirms the Director's decision that to the extent grandfather rights exist, they do not allow for the expenditure of airport revenue to support facilities that PANYNJ does not own or operate.

It is hereby ORDERED that (1) the Director's Determination is affirmed, as so modified, and (2) this matter is remanded, in part, to the Director, to determine the basis for the PANYNJ' s grandfather rights, if any, and as to whether to issue a civil penalty.
